Urban Dare Columbus - Sunday, June 22

Urban Dare Columbus runs on Sunday, June 22 starting at 12 Noon. We will begin check in at 10:00am at Claddagh Irish Pub, 585 S Front St. Come join the fun.

Do not park in the Kroger parking lot. They will tow.

Urban Dare is the race where smarts can beat speed. Teams of 2 solve clues to find checkpoints where they must take photos or perform dares. Once you are out of the starting blocks, you will pick up your clue sheets and be on your way. You may use your smart phones, or your smart friends for help solving clues. We recommend you bring a map, a pen, and water.

We have new way to win this year. Go to our facebook page after the race and post your best race pics. The team submitting the picture with the most votes by the end of Wednesday wins free entry to their next Urban Dare.

At checkpoints with dares, you must accomplish a task and get your passport stamped before moving on. Where a photo is required, you must have both team members in the photo.

This is a team race. You must be together throughout the race. You may, walk, run or use public transportation to get tcheckpoints.

We expect the winners will finish under 2 hours, and most of you will finish under 4 hours. We are working to provide a fun-filled day, while providing some good challenges.

See you at the races.

Super Dare Report

As I sit here writing, all the teams are out doing Urban Dare LA, the last leg of our Super Dare championship.

We started off yesterday with the obstacle course. Paul Kim and Chris Campin came in first place with a time of 17:57. A two minute bonus shaved that time down to 15:57.

The trivia quiz was won by April Hull and Gene Day, giving them a time of minus two minutes for that leg. There were 3 teams that tied for second, so they each got 30 seconds for the trivia.

At the beginning of day 2, Paul Kim and Chris Campin had a lead of just under 4 minutes from their nearest competitor. 4 minutes can disappear out there quickly. Good luck to all.
