Thank you to everyone who participated in Urban Dare Phoenix.
Congratulations to Denton Taylor & Sam Sprague for winning with a time of 2:03:16.
Their winning strategy was to hop on the ligh rail to Central & Thomas to the statue of the code talker. They figured out the rest of the clues on the way, and worked their way back on foot. Well done.
Kristin Herman & Elizabeth Sparks finished second, and third place honors went to April Hull & Gene Day.
At the beginning of the race, I explained that there might be a tricky angle for one of the required photos. I assumed that everyone would get inside the crime lab and need to focus upwards to get a shot of themselves with the chandelier. It turns out the front door is locked on Saturday's. My bad. Fortunately, everyone got this shot. A few teams even managed to get inside.
Urban Dare will be donating 5% of this year's race registration to fight breast cancer. Now that I've started on this fight, I've started to discover how many people I know whose families have been affected by breast cancer. We're happy to do our small part.
We're looking at doing a Fall race in Tucson.
